I gave my 9 year old one of those plastic "working" build it yourself kits for Christmas and after building it with him, he wants to build a real engine with me. I have rebuilt a few car engines in past so I was considering building a new 22r for my Toyota pickup with him but that is fairly complicated and expensive. Does anyone have a suggestion on something smaller/cheaper I could build with him? I would prefer if it was something that would be useful like a little generator/lawnmower. Maybe even something that would be sellable? I don't know a lot about which small engines are popular so any input would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Get a old 6 horse engine from a farmer to rebuild and make a go-kart.. you both will have fun and a lifetime memory!
