I recently aquired a John Deere LA135 with a 22 HP Briggs and stratton Engine. The engine runs perfect, smooth and strong. Only issue is, it only starts with the choke on. Hot or cold start, I can run it for 2 mins or an hour, and I always have to choke it to start. Pretty sure I should be able to start it with out the choke and at idle speed or slightly higher. Has a fresh oil change, good plugs and wires. I ensured that the Governer and throttle were adjusted properly and working well. and choke works fine. not sure what else it would need to make it start properly.
