ATV coolant leak

Anybody use a coolant stop leak on an ATV, I have a very low mile (666) 2005 Suzuki and the aluminum rad is turning green. I have never seen it wet but if I clean it it comes back. I also get a slight smell of coolant. I just dont want to plug the rad if I can help it.
