My previous post

I had come across a guy who has been regularly sharing screenshots from here, over a period of few months. His posts were not getting many upvotes, less than 10 most of the time, and some people stepped up in the comments to support us, while sometimes some stepped in to make fun as well, when he had blurred out the group name and posted out of context. He even screenshotted my above mentioned post entirely with all comments and posted it without context.

I didn't and am not going to reveal his identity here, for that would not differentiate me and him. These posts are just about my experience of coming across a person like that.

I was shocked upon seeing someone who was motivated by such hatred towards us that I made my first post here after having been a lurker for a while, so I felt it's necessary to make another post once it turned into some good news. Got to keep the sub balanced and not just share our misery after all.

I reported all such posts from his post history as harassment based on identity or vulnerability. Some subreddits banned him. Today, I checked his profile and saw that his account has been suspended. I do not know what and how it happened, but his account was probably suspended for violating Reddit's content policy.

This entire experience has only made me feel more confident and valid. And supported, by all of you guys, and the mods. Hope it instills the same feeling of satisfaction in you guys.

So if any of us come across people or posts like that, let's please report them, while not getting affected by it significantly. We don't have to ignore them while feeling like we deserve it, which was kinda my first subconscious thought, and am sure many others in here. We definitely don't deserve it, and it's not normal. We're not a spectacle. We're valid people.

I'm sure there are more assholes like that, probably a lot less obsessed though. Let's remember that though there are many assholes out there, there are many good mods and nice people who do sympathise and support us too. Let's not forget them in our pain, and give back to those assholes that attack or make fun of us.
