Hey guys, so recently I stumbled across a yt video that talked about $L2 (migrating from LEV). It sounded interesting to me so here's what I found out:
L2 comes from a site known as Leverj. Leverj is a futures exchange with up to 100x Leverage. Now this is only mildly intersting, as Bybit/Binance/Phemex etc. allows this too.
This is where Lerverj's speciality comes into play: it's decentralized. A full featured, decentralized futures exchange without compromise. Sounds a little too good to be true, right?
I did some more digging, and learnt that sites like Bybit were having legal issues with the authorities. The increasing popularity and acceptance of crypto has led law enforcement and tax authorities worldwide to understand the concept of crypto (especially Bitcoin) and how to use it within the existing legal framework. Consequently, the legality of crypto depends upon a few measures – like what you do with it, where are you located, or how old you are.
Subsequently, Bybit announced on the 5th that it would end its trading services for UK-based clients. Customers must close their trading positions and withdraw funds from the platform by March 31st.
The Leverj site gets around these issues, as identities are secure and decentralized to avoid potential leaks of user information. The user's identity for any trade is simply a public key that controls the user's coins. Users can create new public keys at will, further obfuscating their identity. Leverj decentralizes the most desirable features of derivatives trading by implementing them in cryptocurrencies and eliminating points of friction.
A system that performs like the fast centralized exchanges but gives a user full control of their assets at all times. To make this real, team Leverj has built Gluon, one of the most powerful layer 2 technologies for exchanges and leveraged trading
Now I've talked about the site a lot, let's get into the tokenomics of Gluon:
Tokenomics released October 2020
Leverj has a Market Cap of $19M, a Circulating Supply of 287,250,542 L2 and an average Volume of $400k. L2's rank is #878 on Coinmarketcap. Here's the link to Gluon on Coinmarketcap and Coingecko. Currently Available on Uniswap, Balancer, 1inch, Bilaxy and Probit.
I always like to do a little token sniff with tokensniffer.com when looking at low cap coins, and the results look good! (PS. I know the results are not to be interpreted as advice)
Please DYOR as this could be a risky investment, and I am not a financial advisor :D Feel free to add information/your critique on this subject in the comments, as I am relatively new to low cap coins. Hope the mods approve this :)
