Does anyone else feel like their small business won't take off?

Post Body

I just wanted to create a space where we could rant a bit about our shortcomings. Or maybe you have a win that you want to share? I'm listening cause it feels like I'm screaming into the void sometimes. No one around me understands the investment mindset.

I'm in my now late twenties and I've been through so many small business ideas. Now I've landed somewhere that I'm happy, a freelance business advertising my editing services for LGBTQ fiction.

I'm only working part time right now though, and it's making it really hard to invest in extra things I need for my business. Don't even want to talk about how many proposals for Upwork and job apps that I've sent out. So many. I would have rather done the full time job and bridge to my business thing, but it feels like no one wants me.

Luckily, I have someone I'm partnering with for my marketint, but man I'd be lying if I said it was easy seeing that chunk go from my check when I pay him.

I'm lucky in that I don't have to worry about rent or anything, I'm still living with my mom, but my goal is to move out by February or no later than March.

I'm optimistic, yet a bit anxious.

Just wanted to rant. Thanks.
