Did you raise your prices incrementally or was it big jumps? Having confidence issues but charging hourly seems to alleviate a lot of problems.

Post Body

I'm a web developer/ seo person.

I started out charging $35 an hour. Then moved to $45 and now I'm at $50 an hour. No retainers yet, but I'm still getting people telling me my prices are too low.

But I'm pretty close to quitting my job which was my initial goal.

Just wondering what everyone's experiences were with raising your rates and what worked and what didn't.

Was incremental increases helpful for confidence and portfolio building?

Also having clients already helps me be more OK with getting a no because I'm already getting my bills paid. Thoughts?
