Paying my contractor's when work slows down
Post Body

Hey everyone, I wanted to see how other business owners are handling this pandemic. I employee 2 1099 contractors at my dog grooming business. I told my groomers last week that I will support them for 2-3 months after work dries up, with everything being so unpredictable, I hope that we are able to scrape by for long enough to keep the business from going under. I'm not very sure how business will look or if people will continue to get their dogs groomed over the next few months, so I guess just being as prepared as I can to support the people around me is all I can do. Most larger businesses can take out loans to keep their employees around but I pay them based off of direct earnings and couldn't ever really pay the loans back. What are other small business owners doing to prepare?
