Hello,
We've just applied to create an LLC through IncFile and have confirmed our order. Incfile hasn't yet submitted to the state, and so we're looking at around 15 days or more to have our LLC actually filed with the state.
Incfile compliance claims that an Annual Report must be filed by the end of the month (more specifically, that the due date is "the last day of anniversary month of organization or qualification"), and that Incfile will do it automatically for a large fee. We're interested in filing this report ourselves as it will be a lot cheaper, but have some questions:
- By the time our LLC is actually filed with the state, it may be early February. Does this mean that the Annual Report actually only needs to be filed by the end of February and not January? Does "month of organization or qualification" refer to when Washington state will actually accept the LLC (in around 15 days) or from the day that we applied to file with Incfile (today)?
- What is the basic procedure for filing an Annual Report? Is this just some form that we can fill out and send directly to the state? Does anyone have experience with declining Incfile's high-priced auto Annual Report feature? What are the exact steps to navigating this?
Thank you for any help you can provide!
