So I recently visited my home country and came across these very cheap carved wooden figures (elephants, lions etc) made by local people.

Since the price is so low, and these are handmade, I thought there is potential for them to be imported to Australia where I live now and make some decent money.

Whats steps should I undertake to make this reality as a beginner? Just give me dot points and I will do further research into it? Also is it possible to get big retailers such as Kmart and Target to sell these for me rather than selling them on Ebay? I might even be able to get custom made figures as desired by these retailers. How do I pitch to these guys if it is even possible? Thanks a lot inadvance
