So me and my significant other own our own commercial cleaning company this year. We have gone and done several move out cleans that were successful and have left our customers happy and satisfied. This past week we received a call from a customer wanting her home deep cleaned. Over the phone I did a rough estimate for the home which was roughly $350. She said that it was sort of out of budget since the home was relatively clean. I ended up telling her that I can give her a more accurate estime if I can see the home in person. So the next day I went over there and it was pretty clean. She essentially just wanted us to clean base boards and kitchen going based off that I quoted her around 200. After roughly 5 hours of cleaning the home me and my significant other decided that the home was clean and any more time after that the job would be a loss. I called the home owner up and let her know we were done and told her roughly what we did and what we couldn’t fully clean up due to either damage heavy staining or anything that we couldn’t just get clean. Today she called me saying she was quite upset with the clean and that she was expecting more. Then told me that she should have gotten her other home cleaner to do it and she would have done it better. In my opinion 200 wasn’t necessarily enough to compensate for what I could have imagined what would have take 6 hours to get her anywhere near what she wanted. I feel as if I did the best I could on her budget. But ultimately her budget didn’t cover essentially getting the home to look brand new. Neither was the home new. It’s around 45 years old. Am I in the wrong to feel as if she kinda got what she paid for?
