Post Body

I live in Massachusetts, I am a w-2 employee with a company for the past 17 years. I've been doing small side jobs and calculate I will be earning around 20k in side work for the year.

I subcontracted about half of that for a company and I know I will get a 1099 at the end of the year. I bought a dump trailer, a used truck, tools, paid for my contractors license, material, a storage shed ect.

Trying to plan the best course of action for the tax man should I open/ register a Llc so I can write off the expenses to offset set my earning.

I have lots of questions, who can I turn to for advice and guidance. Thank you in advance
