I’m looking for ideas of how to start a small business for myself. I’m looking for any kind of advice or anything someone can offer. I have always wanted to be my own boss and create something to build and be successful outside of a 9-5 job working for someone else. I have about $2K saved up but I can’t figure out what I should do. I live in NW Arkansas, I don’t have a lot of “skills” that I feel would make a profitable business. I have worked in HVAC wholesale for 7 years. Before that I did basic labor and fast food work. I have average to above average computer skills, typing, Microsoft, etc. I’m looking to start something as a side job that one day could potentially turn into a full time business.
I have researched dropshipping, that’s a possible idea but not been able to pull the trigger and trust in it. I’ve considered buying a vending machine, but not sure how to get clients to get started. I’ve thought about streaming on Twitch or YouTube but again running into the lack of ideas issue. These are just some of the few ideas I’ve thought about over the years but I never have pulled the trigger because I worry about the risk of failure, I can’t fail if I never get started. But hopefully some tips and ideas would help me take the jump.
Thank for any input! 🙏🏾
