I have never done shadowing before, and one of my professors emphasized to me that I should really do some shadowing to beef up my resume for grad school (I’ll be applying next year). I want to apply to go where I am currently doing my undergrad, and she said it’s pretty competitive to get in, so she really recommends this. Anyway, I’m going to begin volunteering at a voice disorders clinic next week, and I will be volunteering all summer too. The SLP I’ll be volunteering for said I can also shadow him if I go on days when I am not volunteering. How is shadowing typically done? For example, do you shadow them all day, a couple of hours a day, etc? Also, how many total hours of shadowing do you think I should do?
