Hi, and thanks for reading! I’ve been taking classes to become an SLP for a year now and while I’m not queasy by talking about or studying anatomy, when I see endoscopic pictures of it or if people open their mouths where I can see their throats I’m very queasy. I don’t think that I can spend time doing that professionally. I had hoped to work with seniors on neurogenic communication disorders. Is it possible to work in that area and avoid swallowing (and looking at anatomy)?
What SLP work could I do and avoid seeing actual anatomy?
Thanks so much!
