I've spent the last 20 years maintaining my Spanish skills becuase I knew it would help me professionally. I'm not at a school with zero native Spanish speaking kids, but multiple nonverbal kiddos whose home languages are Ukranian and Farsi. Working on AAC with English output for kids that are only exposed to English at school makes things much more difficult. We have a few Ukranian and Persian staff members who I rely on constantly, but it still isn't fair to the kids in my opinion.
What languages do you need?
