Total newbie to cooking in general and slow cooking specifically.
A buddy of mine, overseas, raves about slow cooking. He tells me you can do 10 min prep, throw it all in the cooker, leave it for when you come home from work, and you've got 3-4 delicious servings ready to go.
Does slow cooking really work like this? Is it this simple. Definitely looking for super low hassel, super time easy, inexpensive solution, little cleaning, little prep.
Can anyone confirm, and if so is there a recipe book out there, or recipe website, that you'd recommend I start with?
