UPDATE: I took your advice and changed her nap to 1:15-2:30 and bedtime is around 8:15 and it seems to have helped tremendously so thank you to everyone that commented. The first couple days she cried in her crib for around 10 minutes but it’s better now.
I’m on the verge of an actual mental breakdown, I can’t do this anymore. My daughter just turned 2 last week but for the past 4 weeks her sleep has progressively gotten so much worse. I sleep trained her at 6 months and it’s been great since. There have been some sleep regressions here and there but they subside in a couple weeks and there were things I could do to get her to sleep like lay in her room. But now, there’s nothing I can do. A month ago I could get her to sleep by lying by her crib, but that progressively got more difficult I’d be in there over an hour because she was so scared I’d leave. So then, I would leave but I would sing to her over the monitor and that worked for a few days. Now, nothing works. She just screams and screams and screams until she is taken out. It was only night time but now it’s naps too. And she’s not ready to drop her nap because if she doesn’t nap she’s so cranky by 5pm. Last night she cried for 3 hours straight, didn’t matter if we were in her room or not she was screaming. She eventually passed out from exhaustion. She wakes up around 7 and I put her down for her nap around 12:30 then she goes to bed at 8:30. Recently she can’t fall asleep for her nap until 1:30 and wakes up at 2. She won’t fall asleep at night until 10ish and then wakes up screaming from 1-4am. Any advice would be appreciated. She still sleeps in a crib, we have night time routine of bath, milk, then books in her room and we sing songs and I put her in crib.
