I didn’t know a 2 year regression was a thing until I finally searched about it after my 2 yr 3 mo son started DEEPLY protesting bedtime in the last week after being a champ of a sleeper since we trained at 10/11mo.
Trying the same method again starting tonight - sticking to our bedtime, and checking on him at increasingly longer intervals until (fingers crossed) he sleeps. Any encouraging stories or tips would be appreciated - even though I know training worked with him first hand I’m still an anxiety ball listening to his crying…
EDIT: OH and also - we have been gently potty training with several successful moments; but now he asks to go potty after he is out down to sleep. We begrudgingly oblige because he’s asking us, and shockingly he actually manages to pee each time. But I think he’s using it as a way to get out of bed?! Or am I imagining this?!
Not sure about encouraging, but we went through this. We ended up doing the chair method and reading books about separation a sleep consultant. We are back to sleeping through the night. It was as bad as newborn for 6 weeks though. Hopefully yours is a true regression and doesn't last long!!
