Help! We are at our witts end. We sleep trained our baby at 6 months (full extinction). No issues. Only would wake if sick or needed something in the night. We are going on 3 weeks of not being able to leave her room at night and having to resort to co-sleeping. We even got assistance from a sleep consultant but I feel like we're in a worse position. They recommend waiting until she falls asleep and leaving. Now everytime my girl wakes she's looking for me. We tried CIO again and she just does not stop crying (I let her cry one night for 1.5 hours and finally gave in and slept with her). Now every time I try to leave she physically holds onto me or my shirt and when wakes will start crying and yelling "where are you mama? Help me!" She seems alert and awake so I don't think it's night terrors. Any one have any suggestions of what to do? Current schedule:

Wake 6:45-7am Nap at daycare 1pm-2:30pm Bedtime start routine at 7:45 usually ready to sleep by 8:30.

Bedtime routine is consistent. We use a timer to set when bedtime routine starts. Same routine every night. White noise machine, blackout blinds, and a sleep to wake light

I've tried sleeping on the floor/beside the bed. She either wants to sleep where I made a bed or right on me on the floor! Great suggestions though I will give that book a read.
