Ok I'm ready to be grilled.
My baby is 9 months and all his naps are contact. This is because he would always wake up the second he was out down or always at the 40 minute mark.
People say that's because I would put him down asleep so he wasn't falling asleep in the same way, therefore he didn't know how to connect his sleep cycles.
Wellllllllll
Lately I've been noticing that even in my arms he gets very restless at the 40 min mark and needs to be shushed/rocked back to sleep.
Even though the way he fell asleep was just snuggled on my chest.
So technically he is in the same place doing the same thing he was doing when he fell asleep. So why isn't he connecting the cycles?
Today I tried putting him down in the crib and he woke up, sat up, and cried at the 40 min mark. I picked him up and he fell right back to sleep.
My goal is to have any semblance of me time and get him to nap in his crib.
I cannot handle CIO. So please don't suggest it. I know it works great for some people but I can't handle it.
Thanks in advance!
