Steve Hsu is a Michigan State University researcher and administrator, a blogger at http://infoproc.blogspot.com/, and a genetics expert who I think very highly of. I got to talk to him once and learned a lot.
He's going to be in the Bay Area and is looking to meet up with interesting people including SSC readers. I won't be there, but I think this would be a good time for an SSC meetup. If somebody wants to organize, I'll publicize.
(and I'm referring David Friedman to this thread since he's done a good job organizing past meetups)
