Am a newbie to SkyrimVR. Newly acquired Index. Installed VRIK. Installed the community bindings, but don't really know what they do.

Tried out the "open hand casting" function which was great, but whenever I relaxed my hands to my sides I started spewing fire everywhere.

So I looked in the menu.

"Ahh, close hands then open them to cast" I say to myself. "That looks like exactly what I want."

Which, of course, refuses to work. I've tried putting my finger on the trigger; my thumb on the joystick, the trackpad, the A and B buttons; I've tried counting to one, two and three seconds but the only time it will cast is when I'm not bloody trying to.

Giving up on that, I then realised I had absolutely no idea how to unequip magic aside from to pull out another weapon and sheath it, which is very cumbersome.

I was excited for my first run through SkyrimVR to be a mage run, but right now I'm feeling like the Neville Longbottom of Tamriel. At least they're still giving out free "Arch Mage" tokens over at the College of Winterhold regardless of how terrible your magical abilities are.

Anyone got any advice?
