Hello everyone.
I've been playing Requiem for a long time, and I love the changes it makes to the game world and to gameplay mechanics.
That said, one thing that really gets to me is the perk system. It just feels lazy. The Lockpicking tree has four perks. Four. The final perk of Archery... is a better version of a previous perk. That's it. The rest of the Warrior branch trees are little better. The Mage trees are something of an improvement, but the perks still don't really add much - rather, they just enable the skill to be useful and provide flat bonuses.
There was an exciting project to add SkyRe perks to Requiem. Sadly, it was shelved due to unhelpful behaviour from the authors of TES5Edit.
I'd like to change this, for my own personal use, and if others are interested and Ogreboss agrees, I'll put it on the Nexus. SPERG is a good perk overhaul, but there's no hope of making it play nicely with Requiem (if I'm wrong, please tell me). However, SPERG is open-source. It shouldn't be too difficult to appropriate the best and most interesting aspects of SPERG to the Requiem we all know and love.
