Game keeps using vanilla animations instead of the MCO animations

So basically I have some mco animations installed but my game keeps using the vanilla animations. I followed the MCO guide closely but it still doesn't work. I even stripped my game down to the bare minimum and it still doesn't work. Anybody knows how to fix this?
