Basically, the thought is the placed markers would each spawn a guard NPC (or multiple guards each that rotate on a schedule for maximum #Immersion). I know it would probably be simpler to just place guard markers in CK but with so many different player home overhauls, I feel like that would be a compatibility nightmare. Also, this method would allow players to put the markers at any modded home (or shit, anywhere they want).
The main purpose would be to give the appearance that there is actually some sort of security for the multitude of dangerous magical artifacts that are locked/displayed in the player's home, and/or the guards are a symbol of the VIP status of the player. The Dragonborn is a massive benefit to have in any of the cities, so I would think the Jarl would post a few guards near their property. Or, after completion of certain questlines, the player could post new Blades recruits, some Companion shield-siblings, some Thieves Guild members, etc.
My main question is how possible would it be to implement the "hand-placed" markers? I use Campfire so I am aware of the hand placement of tents and other items, but would it be possible to do this without requiring something like Campfire? I don't have much CK experience beyond basic world design, so the scripting part of this idea would be a learning experience lol.
