Is there any downside in flagging .ESPs as .ESLs using Wrye Bash?

I've used xEdit to accomplish this in the past but just discovered that Wrye Bash also has an .ESL flagging function but was wondering if doing it this way causes any problems. I'm in Wrye Bash much more often than I'm in xEdit so this would be preferable. Wrye Bash also marks .ESPs that are eligible to be flagged, which is quite nice.
