new voiced follower problem

I'm working on a custom, fully voiced follower. i'm adding lines for him when i run into a problem. At the 'Follow Me' dialogue his voicetype, which is custom, won't show up so there are no valid NPCs with this voice type unlike in all the other lines I worked on so far. I copied the conditions from the pre-existing NPCs and yet his voicetype won't show up UNLESS I delete the currentfollowerfaction condition or change it to 1, which is obviously going to mess up the lines. Can somebody help me figure out how to get it to work with the right conditions, please?
