The following is my notebook which was bought in 2015 Xmas and have been playing Skyrim and Sims 4.
System Name HP-PC
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz, 2401 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Ram: 16GB Ram (default 8, added to 16 by the shop for Xmas offer)
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce 840M w 2GB ram
Now it is clearly outdated and cannot handle my Skyrim which has 100 mods
I think https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27043 Enhanced Lights and FX is the most graphic heavy mod in my built? I always use SAM and CBBE for the bodies.
Now I have a max budget of *US$1300* (Ouch! QUite a lot for me) and would like to get a new gaming PC, probably a gaming notebook but my bf suggest a desktop with a monitor which is safer from being overheat. He used to buy DIY computers for me but we no longer have the time for that now.
MSI GF75 9SC-078TW (i7-9750H/8G/1T 256G SSD/GTX 1650-4G/ Win10) which looks really nice. However, it only has 8G ram, do I need to make it to 16? Ram is still expensive.
We went to the computer mall in Taipei and the sales suggest gaming laptop with additional monitor if wanna enjoy Skyrim in bigger screen since montors are quite cheap here?
Thanks in advance.
