Is using an external SSD safe?
Post Body

Hi! So I recently got a hugely modded but also stable game going, but it's caused my load times to skyrocket to 5 minutes or so. Needless to say, incredibly annoying. A lot of my mods are currently merged too and I want to try to keep all of them.

Now I do have a spare External SSD laying around but last I heard Skyrim did not interact very well with it, losing sound and crashing more, etc. So I wanted to know if these issues had been fixed and if so, how difficult would it be to transfer Skyrim and my mods over to it? Also, and apologies for the computer illiterate question here, how expensive and how difficult would it be to buy an internal SSD and add it to my current PC? I have upgraded the GPU and PSU on here once already but I honestly don't know how to do it with a hard drive lol.

Thanks for your time! Oh and sorry for the lack of flair, I'm on mobile :(
