Hello everyone! Welcome back to the "Best mods for..." weekly discussion!
If you don't know what the "Best mods for..." topics are you can find the original threads here. Last weeks discussion can be found here.
These discussions are intended to be ongoing for the full week, so make sure to contribute your own opinions and experiences at any time!
As always, the rules:
RULES
1) Be respectful - A lot of different mods get posted, as well as a lot of different opinions on said mods. Try to be respectful during the discussion.
2) Debate conflicts maturely - If you're respectful to others, people will be respectful back. If you're disrespectful to others, people find interesting ways to kill you and post about it on r/skyrim.
3) Please keep the discussion relevant - Feel free to post mods that aren't directly related, but please try to keep all mods semi-related to the week's topic.
4) Please provide a link to the mod you're discussing - Even if you're discussing a popular mod, a link to the mod page is a massive help. People are more interested in the mod you're talking about and are more likely to look at it if there's a link.
Topic - Best mods for Flora, Trees and Landscapes
Here's a few mods to kick you off! I'm in a fall mod, so choosing some relevant mods:
Seasons of Skyrim - what better mod to improve your landscapes than adding the seasons? While it impacts a lot more than just grass and trees, it's definitely the fall mood landscape mod I'm adding to my load order this season.
Dyndolod - while it might be tricky to install, it is hands down my favorite mod to make the vast open tundra and valleys of Skyrim seem more detailed and real.
Whiterun Forest Borealis - If you can't get Dyndolod to work, another option is to just hide the LODs with more trees! Plus it makes your game look more unique from run to run
Aspens Ablace - I said fall mood, right? This is the perfect fall mod and makes the Rift look gorgeous! I especially love it with a mod that adds water reflections looking off over the lake.
Your turn!
I’m putting together an eternal winter style modlist and I’ll add {{Winter Winterland 2019}} to the list. It’s probably a bit out of date now compared to Seasons, but it covers some objects that Seasons misses so you don’t have random grassy objects in the middle of winter. If you want to use them together just use the architecture textures from Winterland and it’ll cover a few gaps, since it just retextures stuff to be snowy.

These seem really nice, at a glance they seem to preserve the vanilla palette while enhancing it!
