Can't get past character creation

So, I'm trying to get mods working on my steam deck and it is such a struggle. I've finally gotten MO2 working, and the only mods I have installed are the unofficial patch, Skyui, and an alternate start mod. I'm trying to test just to make sure they're all working as intended and I can't even get past character creation.

Upon picking new game, it starts me in character creator and if I click X, it'll pop up asking me if I want to name and finalize my character. When I click yes, the popup goes away, but nothing changes. I'm so frustrated and at a loss of what to do. Please help
