Post Body

It should be WAY more difficult to cure full-blown vampirism. I shouldnā€™t be able to go up to any innkeeper in Skyrim for them to tell me this random guy in Morthal has uncovered the secret, ancient magic. And then when you get there, you just have to bring him a black soul gem and stand on a special circle??

ā€œyOuā€™Re GoInG tO hAvE tO kIlL sOmEoNeā€¦ā€ as if I didnā€™t just wipe out a whole fort of stormcloaks and already have 10 filled black soul gems in my inventory.

I mean come on, Iā€™m a fully perked-up Vampire Lord. A nine foot tall demon infused with blood magic and the very essence of Coldharbor. Iā€™ve fed on hundreds of victims. Even werewolves require you to kill an ancient witch coven and toss their heads into a magical fire in the tomb if the most famous Nord ever. Bethesda pls, make it a bit more of a challenge.

I haven't seen anything that does this explicitly, but For a bit of roleplay.

{{Seeking The Cure - A Rising At Dawn Quest Overhaul}} both makes the quest both more involved and ultimately a failure. You can't just get cured, but you can become a werewolf, exchanging one curse for another. Then, to be properly cured and mortal again you have to go through all the steps to cure lycanthropy too.

If you don't want to do all the companions stuff {{At Your Own Pace}} provides an alternate route to Lycanthropy and the cure without actually joining the guild.
