I've been having an annoying glitch for a little while, now it's worsened to the point where the game is unplayable. Can I get some help?

The issue is that when I go intro dialogue, with just about anyone, after a certain point I can't choose anymore dialogue and the NPC walks away like I exited the conversation. In some dialogue trees I can get so far then I have restart, with varying levels of success each time. I can't progress Dawnguard any further because I'm stuck in Serana's mother's laboratory. I tried disabling all my mods and it didn't work. I thought it might be SKSE, but my friend has had no issues with his game. Any help is appreciated. Also I hope I'm in the correct subreddit, if I'm not, I apologize now.
