Mannequin bugs

Wondering if anyone else has this issue. Whenever I put armor on a mannequin, there's a few issues that can happen:
I lose the improvements I've made to it
After a while of taking it off the mannequin, a duplicate set can spawn on it (I have 2 of each of Miraak's stuff because of it)
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to fix it?
