Just accidentally deleted a bunch of materials thinking I could have my companion pick it all up.

It turns out they just pick up one of the item, and the game seems to have deleted the rest of the stack. My autosaves all happened too close together by the time I realized the issue and now I’ve lost 500 leather, and bunch of dragon bones and scales, and countless amounts of ore and Ingots.
Don’t me like me. Get a horse and carry it all yourself, then jump on and fast travel. 🤦🏼
