Mom Christmas shopping. Help!

My daughter's PlayStation and her Skylanders were all stolen last year. Her grandparents purchased an Xbox One for her for Christmas. I'd like to get her a collection of Skylander stuff built back up to surprise her. Will the portal that comes with the imaginators set also work with the swap force and trap team games/figures? Or do I need separate portals for each game? I tried looking this up online and never could find a clear answer and she's the only video game guru I know so I need help
