Skylander won't scan on the switch

So I was lucky enough to find a huge haul of skylanders in a garage sale and started scanning every skylander in onto the switch once I bought it. Luckily everyone works but the bouncer won't scan. I know he work since I was able to use him on the wii but he just doesn't scan in on the switch any ideas? (Ps yes I have tried the fix broken toy thing in giants but my disc of giants doesn't have that option)
