Can we compile a summary of each book?

It's been a while since I've read through the whole series, and I think it'd be nice if we could write up a short summary of each book - important characters introduced, characters killed, events, etc. I have trouble remembering a lot of the character names, and with a nice little timeline, it'd be much easier to figure out who or what everyone is talking about for each section of the series.
Anyone that wants to start, I'd really appreciate it (and I bet others would, too)!
