Temporary winter build
Post Body

TLDR: need advice on temporary winter build that’s easy to tear apart.

Was hoping to get this bus earlier in the year to have more time to build before winter, but, life stuff.

I’ve grown up in cold northern temps my entire life and have been dwelling through winters since I was 18 or 19 as well. I’m no stranger to the cold and know how to be safe with minimal resources.

I’m aiming to do a temporary build between now and November. Then taking it apart in the spring after saving some money this winter and do a permanent build over the summer.

The build needs to be simple and easily taken apart. I need to hit the essentials. I’m looking at sealing it well, temporary frame on a portion of the bus (sleeping quarters), insulation in that area, heat, a kitchen space, and storage for winter gear. Snowboards, boots, jackets, etc.

Looking for advice. How to source materials for cheap or free, I want to repurpose as much of both builds as I can. Kind of a goal to see how much I can recycle a good build out of. Tools and equipment that will really help me out. Simple house battery system. Things to be careful with.

This sub is great, thanks for being great guys! 👻
