Highbeams not working on facelifted MK2 Octavia VRS

Hey all, I have a problem with my facelifted MK2 Octavia VRS' highbeams, while they do work when I pull the stalk towards me, they don't when I push the stalk away. Has anyone else faced this issue or knows if there's an easy (DIY?) fix for it?
[SOLVED] mainly because I'm an idiot. I thought I tried every position of the light switch, turns out I didn't...
