Is this skim board too big? Zap Ace 56

Post Body

Hey y’all,

New to skim boarding, but I’ve been skateboarding since I was a teen (I’m 26 now).

I just received a blemished Zap Ace 56”, and it’s super nice. But I’m a bit worried about the length being a lil too big for me. Zap was out of 54” blems, so I bit the bullet on the 56”.

I haven’t taken it out of the bubble wrap yet, because if I’m going to return it then I can just ship it as is.

I’m 6ft tall and weigh 211lbs. I went up to 56” because I was worried I maxed out the 54” recommended weight capacity.

The nose reaches the middle of my chest, about 2”-3” below by collarbone. When putting it on the ground it seems just a little longer than what I imagine I need.

I assume a 54” might fit better but let me know if y’all think I should just keep this, learn, get better, and then upgrade to an Exile carbon XL Blairacuda once I’m more experienced.

OR

Return this and go for an equally priced Exile?

Large EX1 Blairacuda (the max is 195lbs though)

OR OR

Say fuck it and splurge on a

Custom Carbon XL Blairacuda

Sorry for the long post! I’m super indecisive and would appreciate some of your opinions to help me out.
