Saw this on TikTok, I'm not into skiing, can someone explain what happened to the feet of this dude?

First couple of times I went skiing I though I had frostbite. Feet took forever to warm up. I was getting worried. Found boots that actually kind of fit and left them inside the warm house the night before and that didn’t happen again.
