Are ski tickets overpriced or are the prices justified?
Post Body

Here in Europe the prices are between 30 and 80€ per day for a ticket and that's a lot on my opinion. Are these prices justified for the lifts, the employees and the maintenance of the trails? For myself it's worth it to pay that for one day, but I'm just curious if it's a huge profit-oriented thing or actually that expensive to keep the trails good?

I decided to learn skiing in January. 🤣🤣🤣.

Anyway, went to Meribel three valleys and it was ridiculously cheap. Entire trip for 7 days including accommodation and flights and lift past covering three valleys was about $1,800 all in. Compare that to getting to Colorado or Utah from NYC. It's closer to $2,500 to $3,000 in a crappier place to stay in.

I know this post is old but I've picked up skiing this year and buying any of these passes is sold out. So how does this theory hold if you can't even buy these passes in season ?
