I've been skiing using multiple pair of Darn Tough's ski socks un ultra light weight fabric for the last couple of years fighting toe numbness that I believe to be induced by boot (and potentially compounded by sock) pressure on the surface arteries/veins in my feet. Unfortunately these Darn Tough socks have a level of compression being placed on my feet and up my leg as evidenced by skin indentations after taking them off (without wearing the boots). I tried sizing up to XXL but it just increased length not volume of the sock.
Wanting to cover all my bases and eliminate all possible sources of the problem, I am looking for a recommendation for an alternate ski sock that does not compress at all. Looking for the lightest weight thing possible just to provide a tiny layer between feet and boot. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
