So for years everyone has loved the half cabs, most comfortable shoe in the game, lasts forever, aesthetic is on point, etc,. But to be honest, I really can’t relate to some of those things. I use half cabs as my comfortable walk around shoe, or try to rather, because they hurt my feet so bad. I’ve tried to skate them a few times and it always cut the session shorter than I felt like it should be. I’ve looking all over, but I haven’t found anyone saying anything even kind of negative about the shoe besides Ben DeGros on YouTube. My issue with them is that I can’t seem to find a comfortable tightness or the shoe. They’re either too snug on the top or the tongue is basically flopping around when I walk. Am I alone in this? Are my feet shaped weird? Do I not know how to tie my shoes?
Edit: just went to my local shop and realized I should have just gone up a half size. I didn’t even think of it. But I definitely wish vans ran a little consistent with their sizing. That’s an issue I have with their skate slip-ones too.
I bought the half cabs about a year and a half ago so it’s too late to get a new size. I guess I’ll know for if I decide to get them again.
