Hey OA/Reddit!
Where do I start? Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a situation that you don’t want to change but still feel like being in that situation is just painful? I’m guessing most of yall are probably in that boat if you’re reading this post on this particular sub.
I was only 24 when I decided I’d go through with an arranged marriage that my parents wanted for me. To give more context, I’m from India, where these kinds of arranged marriages are pretty common. We spoke to each other for a few weeks before we decided that both of us are okay with marrying each other. It’s more a marriage of convenience than anything. Both families were happy. We were happy in the beginning. Cuz neither of us had been in a physical relationship before. Trying to explore that was challenging but fun.
Working in tech. Exploring outdoor hobbies. No kids, no pets. Just fostered a few. Enjoy gaming, enjoy climbing, enjoy volunteering at the humane society. Im certainly not a boring person outside of reddit. I have a quirky taste in music. Maybe I’ll share some playlists with you too!
While we may have explored the physical aspect of it, we soon found out that our emotional connection was severely lacking. We are completely out of sync emotionally right now. And naturally so is the physical aspect of our relationship. But like I said, I don’t think I’m looking to change anything about my situation. I just think that talking to someone here somehow makes my day to day life a bit easier. I’ve spoken to folks before but somehow it dwindled out. I’m hoping I can reconnect or find new people to talk to.
I’m not expecting anything in particular. Hoping to form a friendly bond, with the right amount of spice. Maybe it’ll lead to something nsfw (I’m definitely hoping it does, but I won’t push you if you’re uncomfortable). If you’re finding yourself in a similar situation, maybe we can help each other out?
Either ways. Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!
