Alright, everyone, strap in because this one just racks my brain...
As an active mod of this sub for the better part of a few months now, I've tweaked the rules a couple of times, yet some people break them anyway. I've toned down my more reactive attitude toward others when they post. However, if I'm too nice, things tend to get a little out of control. I'm tired of coming here and seeing something in the queue that was flagged by the automod. And what is it, you may ask? Another tool exposing himself to other members of the subreddit. It's gross and unsolicited. Furthermore, our little community is slowly being taken over by bots pretending to be women or just real people in general, so there's that.
Like, I don't know, man. I hate to admit it, but this sub is dying in my eyes. I'm tired. I'm over it and unsure what the next steps are to bring new life. Almost 47k views on average per seven days, down from 51k. What does that tell me? That I just want to scream from the inside. Anyway, whoever read this, thank you for taking the time out of your Friday night, as I'm beyond my bandwidth limits.
