Just kinda venting here. Read on, or don't.
I'm not going to name names or throw example posts under the bus, but... I keep seeing ads on the discord servers and r/MacroRP2 that say things like. "My limits are gross things like feet, sweat, and spit." That just feels really disrespectful to me. I have my own limits, but I'm not gonna try to make someone who is into those things feel bad about themselves for liking it. It always just comes off like the person is insecure about themselves, or that they're hypocritical. E.g. "Okay, I may be into violent murder or suicide baiting tiny people, but at least I'm not as gross as those people."
Now, full disclosure: While I don't care if other people want to do things like scat or watersports in their content, I could never even consider the possibility of doing it in mine. I get the people who are grossed out by it. But I'm not gonna sit here and go. "OOH, aren't these things sick? Those weirdos are twisted in the head or something." Because at the end of the day, we're all kinda weirdos in our own way. There's always gonna be somebody who thinks at least one of our interests is weird. So as a community here, we should make an effort to try and respect each other's interests, even if they don't align with our own.
Also, while we're on the subject... If you're gonna mention those limits, can you please use the proper name for it? I don't want that image in my head of poo and pee, just because you felt like disavowing it. The people who like it want it to be called scat and watersports, and I will make an effort to respect that in conversation. Not my kink, not my problem, not my place to judge. Stop using a five year old's idea of comedy to drag it out into conversation or make yourself sound smarter for not liking it.
