Ways to keep track of a tiny? Balloon tied around them? A bell? Thoughts?

While most of the time my interests are in a crueler giant I think it would be nice to be with someone who didn't wanna like, ya know, immediately go Godzilla on my ass.
But I think the biggest hurdle would be not being lost. Anyone that has owned a small pet knows all it takes is a second looking away before you're flipping over furniture shouting out to your family, "Has anyone seen the fucking turtle???".
So, how would you keep track of a tiny?
